Barbara Harris
I’m a Midwest girl through and through who fell in love with Colorado and began selling real estate over 44 years ago. Just like the people of the Midwest, the people here are down-to-earth and friendly, and they appreciate the strong work ethic that I brought with me from the Midwest. I love what I do, and I think it shows in the service I provide my customers and clients.
One of the things I most enjoy about my career in real estate is meeting and helping people. I like to think that I listen well, and I am proud to say that I have been told that I am not a pushy salesperson. Whether they are buying or selling their very first home or a multi-million dollar estate, I want to take away the stress by attending to the many details of the transaction. I am committed to the work until the job is done and to being there for them after the sale. I think this commitment helps me provide service beyond what my clients expect. And though I embrace the latest education and technology in the industry to help make things happen, nothing beats the 'old-fashioned person-to-person meeting'!
Providing excellent customer service has always been my priority. I believe hard work and dedication are key to establishing valuable relationships with customers.

As a Denver, CO, native, I have a deep knowledge about Colorado living and a passion for helping people find the right house for their lifestyle. Whether that is a family home where you can hang a tire swing from the tree in the front yard, or a home with just enough space to roam for you and your beloved four-legged friend; finding the perfect house to fit your needs is my number one objective.
Before working in real estate, I owned and operated a marketing company for 9+ years. I believe the same creativity and perseverance I utilized in my last company helps to make me a more skilled realtor when working with my clients now. I am motivated to help my buyers and sellers succeed, while also being empathetic enough to tune-in to what their real needs are during the process. As well, I believe deeply in the idea of investing in your own community, and that the grass isn't greener on the other side but that it is greener where you choose to water it.
When I am not out advocating for my clients and their real estate wishes, I am at home hanging out with my two large rescue dogs, my husband, and our young son. I spend my time trying new culinary adventures, lurking on Reddit, spreading relentless positivity, and making small talk in the grocery store line.

A Colorado Springs native, I was raised by two loving parents who taught me that nothing in life is earned without hard work. With both my parents working in real estate (Mom a broker and Dad a property manager) I was schooled from an early age, learning the ins and outs of the business. However, real estate was not my first passion. I attended culinary school and have worked in many restaurants both in the Springs and Summit County. Like cooking, real estate requires attention to detail and a little love to make the final product something to be enjoyed by the customer.
Growing up playing hockey I realized that no matter how good one player may be, without the support of the team, you were sure to fail. Likewise, teamwork is very important to the success of any business, and at Harris Group Realty, it is the reason we are able to deliver a customized experience that is sure to please the client.

Coming from a hard-working rural upstate New York family, I’ve grown up with a strong work ethic and fervent family values. Going that extra mile is second nature to me. Being a good listener is important so I can focus on what my clients' needs are. I’ve been told I’m easy-going, not pushy; yet passionate about providing service beyond expectation. I’m proud of that evaluation.
Relocating can be a stressful time and I want that transition to be smooth and FUN!! I am committed to clear communication and education on the real estate process and honored by the clients who come back and refer their friends and family to me. That tells me I have done my job and earned their trust!
My family is at the heart of what I do and who I am. My husband and I have raised 3 wonderful children, 4 dogs, 2 bunnies, several cats, countless fish, and now 4 adorable grandchildren (yes, I'm biased). Living in Colorado Springs since 1987, I have been an active member of the community. I served on the Colorado Springs District 11 Board of Education (2 years as president), various school committees, community committees, and the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary. My commitment to faith, family, community, and clients clearly demonstrates:
“If it’s important to you, it matters to me!”
